We are seeking an experienced Arborist Team leader with COSS to join our growing Rail Arboriculture team operating on rail sites around the Midlands.
Delivering excellent services to our client is what we are about at COOMBES and we are looking for people who take pride in their work and complete tasks to a high standard. You will be a skilled Arborist able to ensure the safe removal and clearance of vegetation and trees along the rail lineside estate. Working as the Team Leader, you will have the experience and knowledge to be able to support, mentor and develop team members to achieve their best work. In this Safety Critical Position, holding a COSS competency is essential to ensure all works are completed safely and to plan. Strong communication skills, industry knowledge and a calm pragmatic approach are essential.
As well as sharing the ethos and values of our Company, you will:
• Have recent experience working as operative in vegetation clearance in a railway environment
• Be a skilled climber
• Have experience acting as a Team Leader
• Your competencies will include PTS, COSS, Chainsaw, Aerial Rescue, Leader Climber and Chainsaw from Rope and Harness
• Have a UK driving licence and be comfortable driving to sites across the Midlands.
In addition, you will be a self-motivated team member who can work both independently and as part of a team. As you will be field-based for the majority of your time, you must be happy to work in all that the British weather has to offer!
